As a dedicated PR practitioner, Lauren brings unique value to her work creating opportunities that engage target audiences. She has earned her stripes in the industry with nearly 20 years experience working with, and creating, top brands.

Lauren has had the opportunity to work closely with top editors in shelter and lifestyle outlets including Better Homes & Gardens, WSJ, Modern Luxury, Luxe Interiors + Design, San Diego Magazine, C California and more. She has unveiled countless design first-looks in the culinary space working with top designers like Thomas Schoos on the creativity he brought to the Bottega Americano venue in San Diego. 

Citrus PR’s current client portfolio focuses exclusively on interior design, architecture and real estate clients alongside the firm’s destination brands which include neighborhoods/business improvement districts and culinary brands; and arts and culture encompassing museums, art galleries and related accounts that inspire.  

With experience in both agency and corporate environments, Lauren has developed and managed communications activities on behalf of major national brands including AT&T, Kodak, Walt Disney World® Resort, Cricket, Roku and more. Some of Citrus PR’s clients have included the likes of interior designer Van Galder Design; Schubach Aviation and Jet Source, two luxury private travel brands; business improvement districts including North Park Main Street, Cedros Avenue Design District, Little Italy Association, Visit Oceanside; culinary brands Monello, Stella Public House, Florent, Bencotto Italian Kitchen; retailers Dreamy, Muttropolis, Jerome’s Furniture, Westfield; commercial real estate firms MMC Holdings and Equastone; and charity/non-profits including Angels Foster Family Network, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, PEERS Network Gala and St. Germaine Children's Charity. 

Lauren specializes in offering marketing counsel and support offering invaluable expertise to generate impact for her clients. She has served in a number of roles for Southern California business and non-profit organizations, including: Program Chair, Legal Marketing Association (LMA) Southern California Chapter Board; Board Member, and Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and resides in La Jolla, California.



Along with a passion for journalism and hunger for innovation, Maria has extensive public relations experience working with a variety of clients ranging from restaurant and hospitality to non-profit and real estate accounts.

Maria is known as a dedicated, savvy publicist who can garner press for clients leveraging creative, thoughtful strategies. She brings attention to detail through every step. Maria supports the brand with social media expertise, providing an array of services from photography to copywriting and design. Prior to joining Citrus, Maria gained invaluable experience in media relations and marketing at San Diego-based companies and firms. Maria’s passion for storytelling led her to a role with fast-faced startup company, Classy, where she worked with the editorial team to create social impact content. Maria also holds agency experience where she previously served in social media, client and media relations management positions. 

Maria graduated with highest honors from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing. During her time at USD she was involved with distinguished organizations such as the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Beta Gamma Sigma, Delta Sigma Pi, Kappa Alpha Theta and Honor Society. She utilizes her extensive knowledge of strategic management, marketing strategy and consumer behavior in her day-to-day communication approaches, making sure all efforts are executed both creatively and efficiently.

Originally from Buffalo, New York, Maria’s sense of adventure led her to San Diego when she was just 18. She now resides in Pacific Beach where, in her free time, she enjoys morning runs, practicing yoga and sharpening her eye for photography.
